A FOUDRE FAN FAVORITE
Before the advent of Stainless Steel, beer was typically fermented in wood tanks. Unlike the barrel-aged beers of today, where wood is usually prominent, most of these beers had minimal oak character.
Kicking & Screaming is fermented clean in a large oak tank (called a foudre), and like the beers of old, bears minimal characteristic oak flavor. Clearly a Pilsner, though foudre-fermentation lends an understated roundness and a mild tannic focal point.

Grassy, herbal, soft minerality and a touch of oak
Harold U.
I never get tired of Kicking and Screaming! One of Three's very best.
Emrys B.
In my opinion this beer might be one of the best pilsners being brewed at the moment. Unfortunately I am not articulate enough to pen a review full of flowery adjectives and beer nerd terminology. But trust me when I say, ( I drink a lot of beer mostly pilsners currently ) that you will be hard pressed to find one on the market better than this one.

Kicking and Screaming continues to be my favorite of all of the Threes lagers and pilsners I've tried. The slight pucker from the oak is just right

Of all the lagers and pilsners brewed by Threes, this is my favorite. Crisp and refreshing, and a little extra bite, thanks to the foudre.

Quick ship, beer is great (as always) and the bonus of having an Other Half in stock to drink, too, is just icing on the tasty cake!
Aaron L.

Jason P.
Great Balance beer, with a decent ABV especially for this style.
Christopher E.
Grassy and mineraly. Good take on a pilsner.
Kevin D.
Quite possibly the perfect lager!
Gregory M.
Mmmm eminently drinkable with a little more body and a bit of sweetness
Joseph D.
These foudre beers are incredible. Only problem is they go down way too fast! :)
David W.
Clean and crisp, with a slight tang (from the aging process no doubt), very similar to the anniversary pils. Hop bitterness is modest, like a Bohemian style pilsner, but balanced out the beer well.
Murad B.
Great beer. I could drink 10 everyday.
Floyd c.
My new Fav!
Alex W.
Delicious, interesting to compare the flavors between this and the non-fermented pils
travis l.
Nice fodure Pilsner

Amazing freaking pilsner
Zeke M.
I don't need to be kicked at or even screamed at to want to get Three's Kicking & Screaming. Smooth, comfortable beer that was a palette cleanser after too much IPA these past few weeks!
Johnny S.
Love this beer. This batch was world class and I was sad to see it sell out :(
Richard W.
The oak tank fermentation adds a dimension of flavor that sets this beer apart from ordinary Pilsners. Highly recommended.
Adam L.
Absolutely beautiful pils. The flavor contributions from oak really complement the delicate, verdant and mildly hoppy flavors of this lager.
Jeff G.
This beer is fantastic. A classic, not-overly hoppy pils from Threes.
Adam F.
I'm typically an IPA person, but Kicking & Screaming is an undeniably excellent beer. It's refreshing like a pilsner, but also has complexity at the finish thanks to the foudre fermentation
travis l.
Nice fodure fermented Pilsner. Perfect alternative for Vilet
Raphael C.
Great Lager, very refreshing and complex.
Ihor F.
Clear, golden color. Big, fluffy head. Grass, minerals, and malt in the aroma.Malty backbone with decent hoppy bitterness for balance.
Raphael C.
A must buy for NYC lager fans.
Andrew M.
Had me kicking and screaming with delight.
Nathan M.
Just adore this beer.
Zachary S.
Good slightly salty flavor profile
Steven L.
I love Threes brewing kicking and screaming. It has such a satisfying flavor and incredibly easy to drink. So much so that I ran out of my four pack before I realized it was all gone. I am definitely going to order another pack of this amazing beer made with founder. Such a unique taste.
Kevin K.
Tastes so nice I bought it twice
Kevin K.
Super smooth
Mark M.
Always love your Pilsners, but this one is epic. Mild funk from the barrel fermentation. A great smooth drinking, but complex, beer. Please make it again!!
Vincent M.
Crisp, clean, but has some nuance. Love this beer. My go-to all summer.
Arnold G.
As a Pilsner lover the flavor was wonderful!
Jeremy H.
Vilet is one of my favorite all time beers. Big Pilsner fan. Kicking n screaming is similarly smooth with a little more depth.
Mariana R.
