The Company

Threes Brewing is a brewery, bar, shop and event space, with locations in Gowanus, Greenpoint, Moynihan Train Hall, Governors Island and Huntington, Long Island. 

The Role

The Shop Associate (SA) reports directly to the General Manager at Threes Brewing Huntington and is an important part of the beverage team at the brewpub. Staff members are expected to have a broad understanding of craft beer, a pronounced interest in hospitality, and a growing familiarity with the full suite of Threes’ products and programming. They are responsible for selling retail package of Threes and guest product, pouring draft for on-premise consumption, moving kegs and cases, and maintaining on-site merchandise inventory. Shop Associates and Staff members are also responsible for correctly receiving and accepting deliveries internally, or from distributors. The Shop staff is often the first employee a customer interacts with, and many of those daytime weekday customers represent other breweries and beer businesses that the SA will be required not just to serve, but to host. Subsequently Threes has high expectations of personable, informative service.

In addition to fulfilling an essential customer service role, the SA assists with administrative, organizational and event-related logistics. The SA deals with the micro end of operations, with an eye toward and an enthusiasm for the macro. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Represent our brewery at the point of sale with to-go customers
• Host visiting brewers, breweries, beer businesses and beer fans during daytime service
• Maintain presentation of the store and perform regular shop upkeep
• Point of contact for pick up orders
• Receive and stock deliveries
• Move kegs and other inventory throughout the location
• Perform routine draft maintenance
• Update client facing beer-related websites
• Update Shop and Main Bar menus

• Willing and able to learn new systems, programs, procedures
• Basic computer skills, including understanding of spreadsheets and documents
• Weekend availability
• Able to lift 50lbs, and move 150lb kegs
