The origins of this lesser-known style can be traced back to Franconia, a region of Germany renowned for its humble, well-crafted beers. Hudson Valley Brewery crafts exceptional oak-aged lagers and shares our passion for sourcing from regional farms and smaller maltsters.
Malts from Stone Path Malt in Wareham, MA form the centerpiece of this beer, followed by six weeks of foudre-aging for a characteristic, subtle hint of oak. The foudre softens the palate and adds woody undertones, enhancing this beer's suitability for seasonal drinking.
